New Softub Replacement Circuit Board

 I have been repairing Softub control boards for some time, and through that work it became clear there was a need for a more robust long-term solution.

The stock Softub boards have no surge protection or relay arc protection. There is also limited protection against overheating, which can cause the board enclosure to melt or board failure.

To address these issues, I developed a replacement circuit board designed for improved reliability in real-world operating conditions.  My goal is to keep needing repairs in the first place.

  This is a drop in replacement for your current board.
• Designed for longer life
  Built with higher-quality components selected for high-temperature operation.

  Added protection to help prevent damage from surges and electrical spikes that can cause failures.
• Reduced stress on relay switching
  Improvements reduce electrical wear when the pump turns on and off, helping extend the life of the relays.
• Runs  cooler and more stable
  Lower heat buildup improves long-term reliability and reduces intermittent issues. 
• Monitors board temperature
  Notifies if there is an issue that is causing the pump to overheat.
• Replaces any Softub digital board.
  This replaces the C-2001, C-2003, C-2006, C-2013, and C-2022 boards.  Unlike the Softub boards, this will work with all existing Softub control panels.

• All existing functionality of the C-2013 board is provided, with over-temp protection, IPS and P01 errors, special temp mode, and economy and overnight modes. The safety of the original design is kept, and improved upon.
• It will keep the set temperature if power is lost, instead of reverting back to 100°F.
• You can hold down the up or down arrows to rapidly change the tub temperature.
• You can pause the pump for 20 minutes, even if it is calling for heat by pressing the jets button. You can have silence when you soak if you so desire.
• It can optionally display the tub temperature even when the pump is off, and can provide a more accurate estimate of the actual tub temperature compared to the stock firmware.
• It can be monitored and controlled with Wi-Fi using a Sonoff Elite, or a Shelly Uni Plus.  You can have the flexibility of using your phone to control the tub, while still having the control panel work as expected.
• There is a service mode that can change anything you would need, from the maximum temperature, to how long the jets or light button will run for, Celsius or Fahrenheit, or a host of other settings.

There is a 3 year warranty for this board.  Softub only offers a 90 day warranty on board replacements.

Which boards does this board replace?

All digital boards can be replaced, including the C-2001, C-2003, C-2006, C-2013, and C-2022.  It also doesn't matter which Softub size you have.  The same board works with the 140, 220, and 300 tubs.  Even if you have an older unit, you can get the new features.

My board is still under the manufacture's warranty and I don’t want to jeopardize warranty coverage

 In the U.S., aftermarket parts do not automatically void warranties unless they cause the issue.  However, contrary to U.S. law, Softub does claim that unauthorized repairs will void the warranty. If you are concerned with this, my suggestion is to see if an authorized dealer will do the swap.

I’m having issues with my Softub. How do I know it is the circuit board?

I don’t want any of the enhancements to the program. I want the old boring program that Softub uses.

I do offer a version of the program that doesn’t have any of the new features. It is a faithful reproduction of the current (C-2013 or C-2022) Softub boards. If you want that, mention it on your order.

Can I refurbish my existing board to get the new features?

I do refurbishments of existing boards, and you get all the new features (with the exception of the P02 temperature error). See here for more information.

Explain more about the WiFi capabilities

While this does not have WiFi built in, it is designed to integrate with smart devices that work with a DHT22 sensor  and dry relay.  The Sonoff Elite, and Shelly Uni Plus are two example of such devices. It essentially makes the board look like a thermostat to those devices.
